Why Play TRL?
TRL (Touch Rugby League) is a fun and social sport played four seasons a year at a number of locations across Ipswich. TRL is a non-contact version of Rugby League meaning you can kick on any touch. This provides a more exciting and dynamic game than traditional touch footy.
We have a vision to provide the best social sporting experience in Logan. Our competitions are highly organised and professionally run with well-trained referees. We have players from high school, university friends, corporate work teams, groups of friends and individuals looking to meet new friends or be more active in a social setting.

TRL (Touch Rugby League) is touch footy with kicking and bears the closest resemblance to Rugby League out of all the touch football codes. Not only does TRL incorporate kicking, but proper rugby league play-the-balls. As a result, TRL eliminates the annoying touch tactics around quick ‘dump and runs’ and also provides a smoother and quicker game than the TAG codes.
TRL is not just about passing and kicking a footy but is a great place to catch up, get fit and socialise. TRL also organises and funds numerous social functions through the year that regularly attract crowds of over 1,000 people.
TRL was formed in 2005 and has grown to well over 3,000 teams across Australia in 2015.
TRL Australia operates across Queensland, NSW, the ACT and Victoria with competitions in Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast, Redlands & Wynnum, Moreton Bay, Ipswich, Gold Coast, Beenleigh, Brisbane, East Sydney, Manly, Cronulla, Greater Western Sydney, Newcastle, Canberra and Melbourne.
Each year TRL holds an annual State Championships, State of Origin and Australian Championships.
